Shiitake mushrooms are versatile due to their hearty texture and rich flavor; making them a perfect addition to soups, stir-fries and pasta dishes.  Not only do they offer a buttery flavor but they are packed full of nutritional goodness which has landed them on the list of superfoods. Freeze-dried mushrooms can be ground down into powder to be used as a natural additive.
